This year Alltrade made it all the way to the front row of the show hall with a booth bursting at the seams with new products, merchandisers and programs!

Booth Feature – New Product Gallery

Front and center in the Alltrade booth was a “gallery” of brand new products available for hands-on demonstration.

 

Booth visitors flocked to this wall of new products to touch and feel some of the most exciting and innovative tools at the show:

Booth Feature – New Improved Wave Merchandising System

Retailers can generate significant incremental gross profit dollars with the new improved Powerbuilt Wave Merchandising System. For example, a 48″ wave bar will hold 32 Powerbuilt sockets, a 39% increase in SKU count versus a straight bar!

Thanks to compact Powerbuilt packaging, space efficiency gains can be had in other categories too, including drive tools & accessories, screwdrivers, wrenches and pliers.

This display features just a portion of the newly expanded Powerbuilt tool program. Over 300 new products will be added to the program in Q1 2011, bumping the total SKU count to just over 1600!

Booth Feature – Powerbuilt Automotive Tools

Adjacent to the mechanic’s tool display was a 16 foot display featuring Powerbuilt Automotive Tools. Again, we only had room to showcase a portion of the program – especially installer kits. Just a handful of the 75+ installer kits we carry were on display.

Booth Feature – Powerbuilt Strut Spring Compressor

One new installer kit was highlighted elsewhere in the booth: the new Powerbuilt Strut Spring Compressor. Thanks to a product demonstration kiosk at the front of the booth, this product received lots of attention and interest from show visitors.

With a suggested retail of $299 – $349, this patented new product is the lowest cost commercial-grade strut spring compressor on the market, offering performance rivaling $600-$800 units. Even better, it operates using an impact gun or ratchet and retains the strut spring in place during strut removal and installation. This item was definitely one of the highlights of the booth.

Booth Feature – Powerbuilt Tool Sets

Rounding out the Powerbuilt program displays was a 12′ run of tool sets and lift equipment. New tool sets introduced at the show included a series of socket sets packaged in compact blow-mold cases. Piece counts range from 25 to 100 pieces, and all sets include the new low-profile Powerbuilt ratchet.

Another tool set program debuting at the show: Powerbuilt Consumer Service Kits. Think of these sets as the DIY version of pro-grade Powerbuilt installer kits. The initial launch includes 7 service kits covering the most common DIY vehicle repairs. Retail price points range from $34.99 to $74.99.

Booth Feature – Snap-on Hand Tools & Garage Equipment

   

Snap-on Hand Tools & Garage Equipment

There were plenty of Snap-on products on display at the booth, including a new program of LED flashlights. Slated for introduction in Q1 2011, the program includes 10 SKUs, ranging from a $7.99 compact flashlight to a $29.99 full size light with 3 ‘D” cells. All lights are machined aluminum and all include batteries.

  

Also on display was a small selection of Snap-on generators and pressure washers. Currently Alltrade offers 5 pressure washers and 11 portable generators on a direct import basis.

Booth Feature – Power Tools & Power Tool Accessories

 

Kawasaki Power Tools were presented as a 4′ planogram of suggested automotive power tools. The 12 SKUs in the assortment included 6 existing and six new SKUs, all currently in the Alltrade warehouse.    SRPs range from $24.99 to $99.99, offering outstanding value for a national brand of power tools.   Adjacent to the Kawasaki tool planogram was a 4′ automotive  assortment of power tool accessories, merchandised on the new Wave bars for maximum space efficiency.

 

Also on display was a 4′ planogram of Tradespro Power Tools.   This suggested automotive assortment includes 12 products targeting the price-conscious consumer who occasionally needs a power tool for basic maintenance projects.   Suggested retails range from $19.99 to $99.99.

Booth Feature - TradesPro Ratcheting Bit Driver Sets

 Another TradesPro brand feature was an endcap of new Ratcheting Bit Driver Sets in clear carry cases.   Each of the 9 SKUs features compact tools and accessories packaged in sturdy injection cases for portability and convenience.   With suggested retails of $9.99 to $12.99, these are great impulse purchase items.  

Booth Feature – Floor Merchandisers

Five new floor merchandisers debuted at the show.  These best-in-class full color merchandisers utilize high-impact graphics and open tool presentations  to grab consumer attention.    TradesPro brand merchandisers include  “Your Choice $8.99″ and “Your Choice $9.99″ displays as well as mixed price point presentations. 

For true bargain hunters, the Tool House stacked bin display features price points fro $1.99 to $4.99. 

Booth Feature – Kawasaki Air Tools

Rounding out the Alltrade booth was an endcap feature of Kawasaki Air Tools.   The program features a mix of composite and steel-bodied tools offering great performance and value for DIY consumers.  A total of 14 SKUs are available in the program, with most items in stock in the Alltrade warehouse.
