19.2 volt battery

QUESTION:

The charger has a button that is pressed to start charging and when the charge if finished (?) the light changes from red to green. Does this mean it's OK to leave the battery in the charger after charging or should it be removed?

ANSWER:

HELLO,
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BATTERY IN THE CHARGER WHEN CHARGED BECAUSE OF  THE REMOTE POSSIBILITY THAT THE BATTERY MAY BE DAMAGED AS WELL AS, THE CHARGER IS STILL DRAWING POWER FROM THE OUTLET.  BATTERIES LEFT IN A CHARGER CAN OVERHEAT AND DAMAGE THE INTERNAL CIRCUITRY. ALSO, CHARGERS LEFT PLUGGED IN WITHOUT A BATTERY INSERTED CAN OVERHEAT.  BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.

THANKS FOR ASKING,

CARL
