Alltrade 2 1/4 ton floor jack

Question:

Hello, I have an older floor jack, yellow/orange Alltrade. I have lost lift height gradually over the last year and I am wondering if it just needs air bleeding and what the proper procedure is to do it. There is a rubber plug on the main piston ram and I believe that is the oil fill plug. There is also another plug with a spade tip screwdriver slot near the handle as well as another plug that would require a large allen key wrench. Do these have to be opened when bleeding or checked for fluid etc. thank you

Answer:

Via my email I requested the model number or photo of your jack.  Please send that information so I can assist you.
