Trouble removing lug nuts using an ALLTRADE 71 piece Air tool set?

Carl, I have a ALL TRADE 71 piece Air tool set.. I have only used the 1/2 Impact wrench once and it worked great. Followed all the instructions, adding oil appropriately... I went to use the tool a second time to remove tires off my truck with my new CH WL6118 Compressor that is rated at 5.1 SCFM@90PSI.... The tool wouldn't remove the lugs. It has not the torque.. I thought it may be my compress but it is not.. I have used plenty of oil, so much that it is shooting it out the vent hold by the trigger in large amounts.. Should there be this much oil coming out? Other tools I have used have not leaked out this much.. The instructions say use a Table spoon... Any suggestions?

Hello Doug,
Did you use the same compressor the first time or another unit? As for the oil, you may be using too much as about four or five drops at each use should be enough. What it sounds like to me is that you may have had some trapped condensation in the unit which will have a tendency to rust the internal components to the point that it reduces the efficiency of the unit. If it worked well the first time, it should continue to do so unless it is not properly maintained such as, oiling it and running it slightly before putting it away. In that way, all the internal components are coated to prevent that rust. Also, make sure you setting on the gun are at maximum output as your unit has four settings of output. If all else fails, send it to our repair department for disassembly and repair.

Thanks for asking,
