Can I leave the 19.2v battery in the charger for an extended period of time?

Question:

I received a replacement 19.2 volt recharger under your recall program, #680072 (number on the manual). Question: If I leave the battery in the charger when it is not being used, will the charger keep it fully charged? Does leaving it in the charger damage the battery in any way (or shorten its life)?

Answer:

Hello Ben,
Once the battery has been charged, remove it from the charger. Batteries do not lose their charge during periods of inactivity but may lose a small amount over long periods. Chargers should be unplugged when not in use as a safety factor.

Thanks for asking,

Carl
