Loose chuck on the Kawasaki 19.2v drill driver set?

Question:

Hi, I bought a Kawasaki 19.2v drill/driver set. I bought it for screwing siding up on a new addition. Now, I was going to use it for drilling holes but the chuck will not stay tight on the drill bit. Could you please help me with this problem? I had to tighten the screw that holds the chuck on, but didn't help. thank you

Answer:

Hello Lloyd,
The screw that holds the chuck onto the motor arbor is a reverse thread and requires that the chuck be held tight during the tightening process, as well as, making sure the motor does not turn during the screw tightening. That should cover that procedure. In the event you still have a problem with the chuck coming loose, call our office 1-800-423-3598 and request a new screw. You may have stripped the threads but that should be apparent by observing the threads.

Thanks for asking,

Carl
