Is there a re-threading tool you would recommend to unbend a crank rod for a dirt bike?

Question:

Carl, I am trying to replace the crank rod for a dirt bike. I bent some of the threads on the rod and cannot get the bolt to bite. Is there a re-threading tool you would recommend? Thank you - Ben

Answer:

Hello Ben,
No problem, just go to your M/C dealer to find out the thread’s configuration. Then go your hardware store and buy a thread die to match the bolt threads. After that, you’re home free. Hope this helps.

Thanks for asking,

Carl
