How do I know if my Powerbuilt 3/8" Torque Wrench reached the torque setting?

Question:

I just bought a Powerbuilt 3/8" Drive Reversible Ratchet Torque Wrench (944002). It did not come with instructions. How do I know it reached the torque setting? Does it click, release, or something else to indicate I hit the mark? Thanks.. John

Answer:

Hello John,
The unit, when set to a certain setting, will click when it reaches that torque level. Also, there is no reason to return it to zero after use. Please call our customer service number at 1-800-423-3598 and give them your model number so they can provide you with an email set of instructions. Since your unit did not come with instructions, I can only assume the unit had been opened prior to your purchase.

Thanks for asking,

Carl
