My 18 volt Kawasaki cordless drill batteries does not hold a charge?

Question:

I have an 18 volt Kawasaki cordless drill- the red light does not come on the battery charger (#690072)it has worked fine but now does not hold a charge -it was a gift from my wife about a year ago- I tried charging both battery packs but neither one holds a charge- is it the charger or the batteries?

Answer:

Hello Al,
Borrow a voltage tester from someone and check the charger for output. If there is output in the range of 21 or so volts, your batteries are the problem. If the charger or the batteries are bad, you'll find replacements on www.alltradetoolstore.com.

Thanks for asking,

Carl
