Where under the vehicle should a bottle jack be installed?

Question:

I purchased a Powerbuilt Bubble Jack at Checker Auto. It did not come with a "cradle/saddle" accessory to fit under the axel. It appears dangerous to use with a very small flat surface. Can I buy such accessory from you? If not, where?

Answer:

Hello Jack,
No such thing as a bubble jack but you may be referring to a Bottle Jack and, if so, these units are not designed to be placed under an axle but, instead, should be placed under the frame of your vehicle. The only jacks for the axle area are the Trolly or Garage jack, each having a special saddle for that application.

Thanks for asking,

Carl
